Each semester, UMEC allocates money to support engineering societies in their projects, events, and other endeavors. We feel that co-curricular involvement is a vital part of the student experience at Michigan.

We invite all UMEC member societies to apply for funding. Most of our funds are allocated at the beginning of the semester, when we hold an Allocations Meeting to discuss every funding request with the Treasurer of the requesting society. We reserve a portion of our total allocation sum for a fund we call "Rolling Allocations." We hope that this provides opportunities for organizations to enact new ideas later in the semester.

Important Dates
Society Retreat is 9/16/09 and funding forms will open 9/16/09
Submit all requests by 9/23/09
Allocations Meeting is 10/2/09
Allocations are announced 10/7/09
Funding Contracts are due 10/14/09
Any rolling allocation requests must be submitted by 11/18/09
Any pending Funding Contracts must be submitted by 11/25/09
Funding Reports must be submitted by 12/11/09
